It goes over how they use positive behaviour support when a child has done well. It explains responsibilities, the curriculum, the values and how rules are reinforced to the children. Bullying policy- In all schools they now have a 0% tolerance on bullying, the policy goes over many things about the anti-bullying policy. It ensures that everyone should be able to work in a safe, caring and productive environment with no fear of being bullied or feeling like they can’t tell anyone if they are. It helps members of the school attend and sort the incident when it occurs. It explains that all bullying should be reported if spotted, if told about it or if you are the victim, it also explains that anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and consequences will be giving out where and when appropriate. Attendance policy- The attendance policy follows the pupil registration act 2006. All teachers are responsible for taking all registers in the morning and in the afternoon after lunch. Students should turn up for school everyday unless they are ill or have appointments but the school should be informed if this happens. All staff are provided with a copy of the CPP at the beginning of the academic. All teachers have a duty of care to the children involved so they can be safe and protected from harm while in school. All children have a right to be protected from something that can cause harm. All staff and volunteers should be able to make  informed and confident decisions and responses to specific child protection issues. All these policies support positive behaviour in many different ways. The behaviour policy supports positive behaviour by it explaining to teachers how to deal with a child when they are acting antisocially in the setting. The bullying policy supports positive behaviour in children by setting rules and boundaries ensuring that children can work in a safe and caring environment. It helps teachers explain to children what is accepted as bullying and why they shouldn’t hurt other children etc. in a fun way so children understand that they shouldn’t intentionally hurt someone. The attendance policy helps teachers see who is a cause for concern and who isn’t. If a child is absent they are not learning anything and not being helped to do things they would do in school. So it helps the teacher try and get children back into school to keep them positive about it. Child protection policy helps positive behaviour as all children are encouraged to speak and be listened to when there is or isn’t a problem so they know they will be heard which keeps them positive when there’s something wrong as they know they can tell someone when something is wrong. If they have someone in a scho ol they can trust they are more likely to tell them about what is going on which helps them know they have a voice and will be listened to. The Importance of Consistent Rules and Boundaries It is very important that we apply rules and boundaries to children when working in a setting. Rules and boundaries are set so all children can be treated the same not one rule for one and one rule for another, all children know where they stand with teachers and so all children can understand what is considered appropriate behaviour. Rules and boundaries need to be consistent and regularly reinforced by an adult. If messages are not clear to them or if they are conflicting and contradictive they are going to get confused and maybe frustrated and will then find it hard to behave. If children are met with the same response every time they do something wrong they will be less likely to repeat at a later day. All rules and boundaries should be suitable for their age and stage of development and all language used should be clear and make sense not to confuse the children. You must make all your expectations clear so they know how to act and behave. The  Benefits of Encouraging and Rewarding Good Behaviour There are many benefits of encouraging and rewarding good behaviour to the child you are working with, other children in the setting and carers; The Child- Encouraging and rewarding good behaviour for a child has many benefits, they learn that when they have done or are doing well at something they will get something good out of it and if they are doing the wrong they will learn that they will get ignored or depending on the severity of it they will get consequences. It helps them succeed in their work etc. a lot better and makes them happier to do work. It sets a positive out look on stuff they wouldn’t usually like doing and gives them more enthusiasm to go further on with their work. It also makes them more able and gives them a better outlook on school life. Other Children- If other children see you giving a child encouraging and rewarding good behaviour they are also more likely to follow on with it. If they realise their behaviour isn’t be rewarded by someone else’s is they are going to try and do the same to get positive support. It will make them more motivated to do their work and behave as they are then getting something out of it. It will help them be more into their work and their progress will get better. Carer- Carers meaning teachers and others working in the setting would also benefit from children being positively supported as they would be able to work better with the child as they might not be as stubborn and it might make them more a willing to do something they wouldn’t usually do. Their behaviour would be better which would make them better to teach as they would listen and become more into the lesson. The work the children produce would be better as they are listening more and there are less class disruptions so there’s no starting and stopping. The teacher would have a lot more time to help other children that need it and be able to fit more into a day.

The defense council is never on screen, a cinematic no show. The fact that the boy was accused of killing his father, a man whose position was sympathetic to many on the jury, ironically foreshadowed the juror 8 role in this drama. (Cunningham 1986) Juror 3 said his parenting skills involved â€Å"making his son a man† (Lumet 1957) until his son punched him in the jaw during an argument. Juror 8 raised his kids through love and respect. Juror 8 saw in the defendant an innocent child that never had a chance while the others only saw his superficial guilt. The movie continued through the first act with only juror 8 assuming the defendant was not guilty. The others were too emotional or prejudiced to review the facts. The first act ends with juror 8 making a leap of faith. He challenges the others to make a secret ballot and if all 11 vote guilty, he will too. The votes are counted and a 10-1 split is discovered. The older gentleman, juror 96, decided to back up juror 8 on principle; altho ugh ten jurors did not presume innocence, the young defendant would receive thoughtful deliberation from his jury. Personal Prejudice The jurors demonstrated a varying degree of prejudice, both racial and class based. In any discussion of conflict it is important to consider the many types of conflict that can be experienced and the likelihood of remaining aloof from the ideological, emotional, physical, moral and spiritual dimensions of conflict. Conflict in general can be found in all of human history and in its reflection in art, poetry, literature and in the everyday experience of humanity. Moral dilemmas, property and border disputes, lovers’ spats, sibling rivalry, broken hearts, jealousy, envy and lust for power. The list is long, many people have sought to find a way to remain neutral but are inevitably drawn into conflict compelled by conscience, desire or belief, or are swept up in conflict as just collateral damage. By definition a bystander is a person present at an event or incident but does not take part. Conflict can show its face in many forms. For the peasants they had little understanding of the battles that raged around them but their ignorance did not protect them from stray bullets or mortar explosions. Graham Greene through the polar opposite characters of Pile and Fowler illustrates that remaining uninvolved and untouched by these two forms of conflict is impossible. Leg and torso should be at a 90-degree angle. As you go down breathe in and out slowly push down until your legs make another 90-degree angle and push back up in start position. Written in Disgust of Vulgar Superstition The subject of John Keats "Written in Disgust of Vulgar Superstition" has to do with the opposition of religion and what people do to seek their "religious enlightenment". It seems more as if the theme is based on his personal dislike of religion and the things people do for religion. Keats suggestion that a preachers sermon tears you from "Fireside joys" and "Lydian airs" makes it seem as if the people in church do not want to be there, which is most likely not the case. He is trying to make his point about what he is speaking of by trying to make the reader agree with him. Which might work with some people, but as for me I already have a fixated belief about religion, one that will not change even if I read some writers perturbed opinions. Images are used very well by Keats to present his opinion or feelings about the subject. On lines two and three of "Written in Disgust of Vulgar Superstition" Keats says "calling the people to some other prayers, some other gloominess, more dreadful cares." This image of people flocking to prayers so that their heads can be filled with nonsense (dreadful cares) which they do not need is the initial bash on church by Keats. A quote to show its shy says â€Å"to be crouched with the beast in its torrid layer† shows it’s stuck in a dark hole but can’t gat out. With the person being stuck he/she is bored which is not what a shy person is like when he’s alone but he is. This shows he likes communicating and singing, â€Å"quiet to lie, and dreamless to sleep.† But then at times the person shows he is still a bit shy, â€Å"With things that are timid, and shy, and free,† the next line says â€Å"Wishing to be,† then this changes it all showing he is still shy. The book is a coming-of-age novel, but the movie focuses on the characters’ loss of innocence. The movie follows the story line very closely. The reader is only told that this story takes place in the southwest, but the movie places it in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the year 1966. It also changes the conflict from the East Side versus the West side to the northside versus the southside. This minor directional change was probably made due to the relative time proximity to the musical West Side Story, which won the best picture Academy Award in l961. However, as with all movies, character insight that is critical to understanding the story is lost when the format goes from the written word to the screen. Ponyboy is telling us the story, the same as in the book, but the 91-minute film only glosses over many character relationships. With the exception of Ponyboy, the viewer misses out on knowing most of the novel’s characters. Darry and Soda are relatively minor characters in the movie, and the viewer is given little insight into their lives. The same is true for the rest of the gang, even Dally. Dally’s death loses much of its impact because viewers aren’t able to get to know him. Only the reader is aware of the fact that Dally’s gun is unloaded, and the symbolic death of Dally in the spotlight is gone. Johnny’s character is also weaker in the movie than the book. Viewers don’t see the growth in his character, because they don’t know Johnny. Johnny’s appreciation for life at the end of his own is barely noted, but it has great impact on Pony in the novel. The whole point of the telling of Ponyboy’s story is to give meaning to Johnny’s death.
